Put the needle on the record …

… when the drum beat goes like this:

We do encourage you to bring vinyl along to our gigs, and you can rest assured it is all played with extreme care. You can even roll up your sleeves behind the decks yourself. The Vinyl Sessions concept is still fluid and in its embryonic stages. We’re happy to let it evolve organically and be shaped by whoever comes along on the evening, or joins the blog. Once subscribed you can add comments, or post your own musings.

In researching this project over the past few weeks, I have come across of number of great local music blogs, and we’ll be reaching out to link up, and spread the Word.

Naturally, there was only one choice of turntable, and there will be more on that in upcoming posts.

We’ll take the lid off the new Technics SL1200 MK7 and review how it compares to the old MK2’s we had many years ago, along with info on how we set them up, tonearms, balancing, head-shells, cartridges and styli.

And that’s all before we get on to the main act … the Music.
